Summary: The purpose of this position is to provide assistance to the Head and Associate Head Baseball Coach assistance in various areas. Responsibilities include, but not limited to recruiting student-athletes, coaching, summer camps, and facility management. The successful candidate will strive to provide a quality successful environment that will support student-athlete success on the field and in the classroom. The coach will seek to develop positive relationships on campus as well as in the community.
Job Duties: Assist in all the areas of a competitive collegiate baseball program. Including, but not limited to competition, recruiting, player of development, practice, and scheduling as needed. Be prepared to travel and assist with baseball operations as needed. Aid with the overall environment for successful recruiting and retaining of a full competitive roster. This position requires working with NJCAA Letters of Intents. This position will be expected to be involved with set-up for their competition, SID work for their sports, and other game-related duties.
Education and Experience: Associate's degree preferred, coaching experience required.
Certifications and Licenses: Valid driver license required Class C Passenger CDL required or ability to obtain.
Abilities: Knowledge of and ability to follow college, ICCAC, and NJCAA policies and procedures. Knowledge of intercollegiate baseball program. Ability to relate to a diverse population and to maintain composure when faced with difficult situations. Ability to effectively identify and resolve problems and to maintain strict confidentiality related to sensitive information.
