POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT-APPLICATION PERIOD EXTENSION

Financial Aid Specialist
(Full-Time/Classified Grade C113, De Queen Campus)

Provides financial aid services including but not limited to counseling and awarding. Assists students in continuing their education with various funding offered through the Office of Financial Aid. Applies excellent attention to detail, identifies errors and assists in problem solving and solution implementation when issues are identified. Consistently maintains a high level of accuracy while reviewing a large work load.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work under the supervision of the Director of Financial Aid
• Counsel students on different financial aid and available scholarships
• Data entry regarding financial aid delivery systems
• Verify, package, and award student financial aid
• Read and apply state and federal regulations to daily processes
• Import, analyze, and export financial aid data between multiple software programs

REQUIREMENTS
• Equivalent of an Associate degree
• One year of clerical experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work well with the public and deliver excellent customer service
• Ability to multitask and prioritize steady workload
• Ability to work independently and within a team setting
• Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends
• Minimal travel is required, including overnight to occasional multi-day/night stays

ANNUAL SALARY
$27,062 annually, combined with an excellent benefits package consisting of health, dental, life, long and shortterm disability insurances, a retirement plan with employer matching contributions, paid annual and sick leave,
and educational assistance.
