Postion Summary
Tougaloo College—a private, four-year, co-educational institution in Jackson, Mississippi—invites applications for the Disaster Coastal Studies Project Coordinator’s position. This will be a 10-month appointment which will start from September 2022 and will end in June 2023. The employee will be supported by a grant.


Experience/Qualifications
Candidates must have a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) with at least three years field experience. Teaching experience at a community college, four-year college, or university is preferred. Of particular interest are candidates who have a strong record of community engagement; work collaboratively and collegially with faculty, students, and community stakeholders; and possess excellent interpersonal communication and administrative skills.

Duties
Oversee the grant’s activities, which includes recruiting students, collaborating with local agency to place student interns, assisting the faculty serving in the project, advising students pursuing Disaster Coastal Studies certificate or Disaster Management and Social Equity minor, organizing workshops and the annual symposium, and helping the project PI with grant related other activities.
