PAY - $50,000-$60,000 (DOE)

LOCATION - Ontario, Oregon

JOB TYPE – Full-time

DEPARTMENT – Financial Aid

DEADLINE – Open until filled

REPORTS TO – Financial Aid Director



This position will assist the Financial Aid Director in administering, processing, and ensuring
applicable regulatory compliance for federal, state, and institutional financial aid funds and
services. Additionally, this position provides excellent customer service and guidance to
financial aid applicants, families, and campus community.

QUALIFICATIONS
MANDATORY: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Public Administration and three
years of financial aid, accounting, or compliance auditing experience; or any satisfactory
combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and
abilities to perform the above duties. Able to communicate effectively verbally and in
writing.

PREFERRED: Experience working with PowerFAIDS (financial aid tracking software) or
Jenzabar (fund accounting software). Must be or become familiar with financial aid policies
and programs offered by the college.

Basic Function and Responsibility:
This position is responsible for managing and coordinating processes and procedures related
to federal, state and institutional aid, while also providing customer service and guidance to
students and families throughout the financial aid process. Assists in constructing,
troubleshooting and improving processing reports vital to standard financial aid office
operations under the direct supervision of the Director. The Coordinator must have
excellent process-improvement and documentation skills, and have the ability to work
effectively as part of a team to meet the needs of a diverse student population.

Essential Functions:
Provides accurate and responsive advising throughout the financial aid process to
prospective, new, and current students and their families to ensure exceptional customer
service to a diverse community of students.

Prepares and compiles reports, as requested.

RECRUITMENT ANNOUNCEMENT
Financial Aid Processing Coordinator


Specializes in maintaining current knowledge and understanding of federal program requirements (such as Pell, R2T4, Direct Loans), and compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations. Updates leadership on policy and regulatory changes and provides
solutions and plans for implementing changes to ensure continued compliance.


Assists with the analysis of data, processing of reports and coordinating improvements to mass packaging, and application review.

Assists with enrollment reporting to Student Clearinghouse as necessary to remain in compliance with Title IV regulations.

Exercises great attention to detail when completing assignments.

Maintains knowledge of policies of other departments (Registrar, Business Office, Advising, etc.) and understands the impact on student financial aid eligibility.

Prepares presentations on policy, regulatory updates and procedures for staff, and assists in training on updates and new processes.

Work closely with external audit staff and oversight agencies with regards to fiscal management, reporting requirements, reconciliation of various fiscal data sources, and maintenance of required documentation.

Maintains student confidentiality in accordance with FERPA regulations.

Completes assigned duties with a high degree of accuracy to ensure compliance with Title IV regulations.

Seeks opportunities to gain knowledge and implement more effective and efficient processes.

Other duties as may be assigned by the Director.


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
This is a full-time, Professional, exempt position.

plan as well as 160 hours of annual vacation leave, 16 hours of annual personal leave and 8
hours per month of sick leave accrual.
