Spring Semester: January 14 – May 12, 2023

Course: SOCY 1150 – Principles of Sociology (3 units of load) at Perry High School

Course Description: This course provides an introduction to the theoretical perspectives and research methods used by sociologists to understand and interpret our social world. Major components of the course include a sociological analysis of culture, socialization, social institutions, stratification, and social change with society.

Course Times Available: Perry High School (1 Success Blvd, Perry, OH 44081):

• Monday/Wednesday, 7:45 a.m. – 9:10 a.m.
• Monday/Wednesday, 11:03 a.m. - 12:33 p.m.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Required: Masters degree and 18 graduate credit hours in sociology (either as part of the degree or additional course work beyond the degree).

• Preferred: Masters degree in sociology and experience teaching college-level courses at a community college.
