Program Administrator (Scholarship Administration)

About Westchester Community College:

Westchester Community College was founded in 1946 as the New York State Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences in White Plains. In 1957, the County of Westchester bought the 360-acre John Hartford estate in Valhalla and designated 218 acres for the community college. Westchester Community College is more than just the county's largest educational institution. Job Description:

The incumbent administers the scholarship program for Westchester Community College, coordinating activities with other college officials as appropriate, and supervising and participating in the maintenance of detailed records and files relating to the administration and awarding of scholarship funds.


Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree and three years of experience in the field of education, educational administration, finance, or business administration required.  Familiarity with the principles and practices of educational program administration and the ability to use automated systems such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, email and database software required. The successful candidate must also be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Excellent analytical, administrative, computer and problem-solving skills is required. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is also required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A MA/MS degree is strongly preferred.  Specific experience with administering scholarship programs is also strongly preferred. Experience using PeopleSoft or other Financial Aid software. 3 years of experience in financial aid is also strongly preferred.

 


Additional Information:

SALARY & BENEFITS: The starting salary is $79,822 plus excellent benefits. 

WORK SCHEDULE:  The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 am - 5 pm, with some evening and weekend assignments, as required.
