Job Description

General Position Information: WCCC is seeking to full a full-time Nursing faculty position. This position is on a day/evening schedule and teaches in both traditional and distance education (including online)
settings. Responsible for oversight of curriculum creation and revision; classroom instruction; collaborate with department chair and management on course scheduling; student academic advising and student recruitment; management of program standards and assessment of program outcomes; establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleges and universities and establish and preserve external stakeholder relationships. This position instructs 15 credit hours per semester.

Minimum Qualifications: A Masters degree in Nursing and a Maine RN license are required. The successful applicant must have 3-5 years of recent experience in the practice of patient care. Teaching experience is preferred, including effective presentation skills. Demonstrated professionalism, strong
interpersonal skills, and a collaborative work style are essential. The applicant must meet clinical facility immunization requirements. Proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination required prior to the first day of employment, subject to exemptions recognized by law.

Salary Range: MEA Faculty Unit/salary commensurate with credentials and experience. Benefits: 100% employer paid health, dental and life insurance for employees (spouse/domestic partner/dependent coverage also available), vision insurance, choice between Maine Public Employees Retirement System or TIAA CREF in lieu of social security, annually 2 personal days, 9 sick days, professional development, and free tuition within the MCCS for employee, spouse, and qualifying dependents.
