Position Location:
Positions are located in Fort Morgan, CO; Burlington, CO; Limon, CO; Wray, CO and the MCC Global Classroom.

Employment Specifics:
Instructors, Part-Time, hourly as needed.

Note:
Part-time instructors must live within the State of Colorado or physically work for MCC at one of our locations to be eligible for hire.

Salary:
Salary based on education and experience. This position is not eligible for a benefits package. Employees must be designated at .75 FTE or greater to be eligible for the Colorado Community College System benefit package. Sick leave shall be accrued and granted in accordance with the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act. No relocation assistance is provided.
Instructor Lecture/Lab - $31.06 - $43.46 per hour
Health Clinical - Supervised $36.86 - $39.86 per hour
Health Clinical - Unsupervised $28.82 - $31.82 per hour
Skill Lab Assistant $21.95 - $24.95 per hour

Auto Technician Instructor (Fort Morgan, Limon, Bennett, or Burlington) - Associate degree in automobile repair technician or two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience may substitute for degree. Must have or be able to obtain a Colorado Career and Technical Education Credential (at least 4,000 hours of verifiable paid occupational experience in the last five years). ASE Training/Certificate. Teaching experience preferred. A commitment to experiential learning and demonstrated success in working with students from diverse backgrounds.

Chemistry Instructor (Fort Morgan, Limon, Burlington and/or Global) - Master's degree in chemistry or a related field with at least 18 graduate credits in chemistry from a regionally accredited institution required. Minimum of two (2) years of post-secondary teaching in chemistry or related field preferred. Experience in distance education preferred. A commitment to experiential learning and demonstrated success working with students from diverse backgrounds.

Computer Science Instructor (Fort Morgan) - Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or related field. Must have or be able to obtain a Colorado Career and Technical Education (CTE) Credential (at least 2,000 hours of verifiable paid occupational experience in the last five years). Preferred: teaching and distance learning instruction experience. A commitment to experiential learning and demonstrated success in working with students from diverse backgrounds.

Computer and Networking Technology and Computer Science Instructor (Fort Morgan) - Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or Computer Information Technology or a masters degree in a related field with 18 graduate credits in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or Computer Information Technology. Must have or be able to obtain a Colorado Career and Technical Education (CTE) Credential (at least 2,000 hours of verifiable paid occupational experience in the last five years). Teaching and distance learning instruction experience preferred. Communications Instructor (Global) - Master's Degree in communication or a related field with at least 18 graduate credits in communication from a regionally accredited institution required. Economics Instructor (Fort Morgan) - Master's degree in economics, or related field with 18 graduate hours in economics. Must have a good working knowledge of current methodologies and applications as it pertains to the application of economics in a variety of fields. Preferred: Teaching experience. A commitment to experiential learning and demonstrated success in working with students from diverse backgrounds. Experience working within the field preferred.

Geography Instructor (Global) - Master's degree in Geography or a master's degree in a closely related field and 18 graduate credits in Geography. History Instructor (Global) - Master's degree in History or a master's degree in a closely related field and 18 graduate credits in history. Minimum of two (2) years of post-secondary teaching in history or a related field preferred. Experience in distance education preferred. A commitment to experiential learning and demonstrated success in working with students from diverse backgrounds.

Humanities Instructor (Global) - Master's Degree (or at least 18 graduate credits) in humanities, philosophy, religious studies or, depending on specific coursework, history, English, or fine arts from a regionally accredited institution required. Minimum of two (2) years of post-secondary teaching in humanities or a related field preferred. Experience in distance education preferred. Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Instructor (Fort Morgan, Limon, Bennett, or Burlington) - Associate's degree in electrical or two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience may substitute for degree. Must have or be able to obtain a Colorado Career and Technical Education Credential (at least 4,000 hours of verifiable paid occupational experience in the last five years). Preferred: Teaching experience. A commitment to experiential learning and demonstrated success in working with students from diverse backgrounds.

Jazz Ensemble Instructor (Fort Morgan) - Bachelor's degree in music. Experience with jazz ensemble. Position will be responsible for coordinating and managing practice sessions for the Jazz Ensemble. The MCC Jazz Ensemble is a jazz big band for students with prior experience and proficiency with instruments. A commitment to experiential learning and demonstrated success in working with students from diverse backgrounds.

Nurse Aide Instructor (Limon and Bennett) - Requires an active, unencumbered Colorado R.N. or LPN License, with at least two years of nursing experience caring for the elderly and/or chronically ill of any age. Have documented experience in teaching adults or have completed a course in teaching adults or have 1 year managing nurse aides. Be able to be approved as a nurse aide instructor by the Colorado State Board of Nursing. Must have or be able to obtain a current Colorado Career and Technical Education Credential (at least 4,000 hours of verifiable paid occupational experience in the last five years). A commitment to experiential learning and demonstrated success in working with students from diverse backgrounds.

Philosophy Instructor (Global) - Master's Degree in philosophy or a related field with at least 18 graduate credits in philosophy from a regionally accredited institution required. Minimum of two (2) years of post-secondary teaching in philosophy or a related field preferred. Experience in distance education preferred. A commitment to experiential learning and demonstrated success in working with students from diverse backgrounds.

Phlebotomy Instructor (Fort Morgan) - Certification in Phlebotomy or Current Colorado R.N. license with experience in phlebotomy techniques with two years of full-time experience in field. Must have or be able to obtain a Colorado Career and Technical Education Credential (at least 4,000 hours of verifiable paid occupational experience in the last five years). Certified Phlebotomy Technician with recent work experience and/or teaching experience in post-secondary professional nursing preferred. A commitment to experiential learning and demonstrated success in working with students from diverse backgrounds.

Physical Therapist Assistant Program Instructor (Fort Morgan) - Licensed in Colorado as a physical therapist assistant with a minimum of a bachelor's degree and two (2) years of full-time experience in the field of physical therapy. Must have or be able to obtain a Colorado Career and Technical Education Credential (at least 4,000 hours of verifiable paid occupational experience in the last five years). Preferred: Licensed in Colorado as a physical therapist with a minimum of a master's degree, teaching experience and previous experience as a Clinical Instructor overseeing physical therapist assistant students. Duties will include classroom instruction, student assessment and overseeing guest presentations.A commitment to experiential learning and demonstrated success in working with students from diverse backgrounds. Teaching Times: Daytime (approximately 2.5 hours per week)

Physics Instructor (Fort Morgan, Limon, Burlington and/or Global) - Master's degree in physics or a related field with at least 18 graduate credits in physics from a regionally accredited institution required. Minimum of two (2) years of post-secondary teaching in physics or related field preferred. Experience in distance education preferred. A commitment to experiential learning and demonstrated success working with students from diverse backgrounds.

Political Science Instructor (Global) - Master's degree in political science or a related field with at least 18 graduate credits in political science from a regionally accredited institution required. Minimum of two (2) years of post-secondary teaching in political science or related field preferred. Experience in distance education preferred. A commitment to experiential learning and demonstrated success working with students from diverse backgrounds.

RN to BSN Nursing Instructor (Global) - Master's Degree in Nursing with a three (3) years of recent experience in professional clinical nursing practice. Must hold a current unencumbered Registered Nurse License in Colorado or a compact state. Must have or be able to obtain a Colorado Career and Technical Education Credential (at least 4,000 hours of verifiable paid occupational experience in the last five years). Strong technological skills and experience with MS Office suite. Preferred: Doctorate in Nursing or a Master's in Nursing Education. Teaching experience in a professional nursing program. Demonstrated success in working with students from diverse backgrounds. Experience in teaching via distance technology. A commitment to experiential learning and demonstrated success in working with students from diverse backgrounds.

Sociology Instructor (Global) - Master's degree in sociology or in a related field with at least 18 graduate credits in sociology. Minimum of two (2) years of post-secondary teaching in sociology or a related field preferred. Experience in distance education preferred. Welding (Agate-Mileage Reimbursed & Fort Morgan) - Associate's degree in Welding or two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience may substitute for degree. Must have or be able to obtain a Colorado Career and Technical Education Credential (at least 4,000 hours of verifiable paid occupational experience in the last five years). Experience in wire feed, shield, metal arc processes and TIG welding. Teaching experience preferred. Preferred: A commitment to experiential learning and demonstrated success in working with students from diverse backgrounds.

About Morgan Community College (MCC):

MCC is one of 13 colleges comprising the Colorado Community College System (CCCS). The college has consistently been named a Great College to Work For by the Chronicle of Higher Education in the past decade.

MCC is located on I-76, 80 miles northeast of Denver and approximately 100 miles east of Rocky Mountain National Park. MCC provides high quality lower division transferable courses and occupational education culminating in a variety of certificate, associate, and baccalaureate degree programs through traditional, innovative, and non-traditional delivery methods to an 11,500 square mile service area in eastern Colorado.
