Full Job Description
Under general supervision of the Campus Director and direct supervision of the Office Manager, the primary responsibility of the Front Office Clerk I is reception. The Front Office Clerk I is the first point-of contact for parents, students and visitors in the front office and calling in to the front office. The Front Office Clerk I must foster high quality customer service and a positive front office environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Greets individuals entering the building (i.e. visitors, parents, students, vendors, etc.) for the purpose of responding to inquiries; and/or directing individuals to appropriate location in accordance with established building and child safety procedures.
- Answers telephone system for the purpose of screening calls, transferring calls, appropriately responding to inquiries and/or taking messages.
- Supervise student helpers by monitoring their whereabouts, giving guidance with responsibilities, tracking their attendance and monitoring completion of assigned duties, i.e. Safety Patrol.
- Serve as first POC parent requests for information or concerns and student check-in and out procedures.
- Enforcement of safety policies and procedures.
- Directs parents through the established protocol for concerns or complaints.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all students records and enforces all confidentiality requirements with parents, students and staff.
- Receives sorts and forwards incoming mail.
- Assist with and/or draft memos and bulletins in Constant Contact (i.e. Friday Focus and Weekly Reminders).
- Maintain a calendar of school events.
- Maintain records, payments and participation forms for students involved in the various sports activities or extra-curricular clubs.
- Track and maintain records of payment for CPA activities and school sales.
- Assist with other related clerical duties as required by the administrative team including Attendance, Report Card Processing, Filing, etc.
- Respond professionally to inquiries or complaints.
- Communicate professionally, effectively and efficiently using whatever communication method or device required (telephone, intercom, email, or person-to-person)
- Operate/use a variety of automated office machines and other office equipment

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from high school or GED, plus reading and writing skills sufficient to perform duties and an understanding of basic computer programs and front office equipment.
- Must understand basic accounting.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior school receptionist/administrative experience preferred

Pay: From $29,160.00 per year
