Medical Coding Adjunct Online Instructor
BARGAINING UNIT/SALARY RANGE: MSEA Adjunct Faculty Bargaining Unit $62.00 per Credit Hour
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Medical Coding Adjunct Instructor responsibilities include teaching academic courses online, student advising, and assisting the Faculty with program administration as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 5 years of coding experience in a healthcare setting. Applicants must hold a credential of a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The applicant must have current knowledge and ability to navigate the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding systems. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and concisely while speaking and in writing.
