Admissions & Financial Aid Advisor

 

EMPLOYMENT DATE: ASAP

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Renewable, Full-Time, 260 days

 

JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for assisting in the implementation of the Colleges comprehensive recruitment plan. Conducts high school visits, works with high school counselors to identify, promote and recruit traditional students to the College. Provides information to applicants and others on the Colleges admission criteria, academic programs, financial aid, career and transfer opportunities and student services. Works with students, parents, faculty, staff, community groups, and special populations regarding admission. Requires extensive recruitment travel (evening and weekend work as well as extensive travel often requiring overnight stays).

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree with 2 years of related experience required. Requires travel to off-site locations. Must demonstrate the ability to meet the travel requirements of the position.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in higher education and/or admissions.

EXPECTED HIRING SALARY RANGE: $42,736 - $53,419 Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. As a College employee, this appointment includes NYS retirement benefit options with a choice of a pension or gracious matches to 414H, attractive Health Care options with 80% of premiums covered by the College, and supportive work-life balance with 16 holidays, 20 vacation and 12 sick days per year, and tuition assistance in addition to other benefits offered by the College.
