Job Description
South Central College is accepting applications for an Unlimited Full-time Economics Instructor to begin Fall Semester 2023. We are seeking an instructor dedicated to excellence in teaching who desires being part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community. SCC has two campuses, located in North Mankato and Faribault, MN. This position will be based on the North Mankato, MN campus, and may need to work across the college.

The successful candidate will be responsible for classroom instruction. The individual will be expected to work as a team member in maintaining a learning environment that meets the educational requirements of the post-secondary student. This position will be located on our North Mankato, MN campus.

Required Qualifications
Education Requirement

Masters degree with a major in economics or a Masters degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in economics.

Preferred Qualifications

Teaching experience at the community college level

Expertise and experience in multiple modalities, including course design and teaching in-person, hybrid, and online asynchronous classes

Demonstrated student centered approach to teaching and learning

Evidence of active and experiential learning strategies.

Experience in assessment of student learning that includes a variety of summative and formative strategies.

Demonstrated success working with a student body of diverse cultures and situations

Other Requirements
