DIRECTOR, FINANCIAL AID

Highland Community College invites applications for a full-time Director, Financial Aid. This position will provide direction and leadership for the Colleges financial aid program. The director provides, develops, and updates financial aid policies and procedures in accordance with federal regulations with the assistance of staff and in consultation with appropriate administrative officers. This position will direct the workflow of the financial aid department and implement, coordinate, and administer processes and procedures for the financial aid program. Must prepare and maintain a variety of federal and state reports, plans, surveys, and questionnaires as required. The director will be expected to implement and evaluate processes for information tracking and audit requirements using available technology.

A Bachelors degree in business, accounting or a related field and five (5) years financial work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience that provide the required knowledge and skills is necessary. This position requires a criminal background check. Successful candidates will have knowledge of accounting, auditing and budgeting processes and procedures and strong computer skills (including Word and Excel).
