Job Summary

Provide customer service and account support to aid in collection and daily operation activities for Student Loans & Receivables. Work hours: 11:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday (with some flexibility and based on department needs).

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Perform accounts receivable collection customer service, TDIL, promissory notes, state tax liens, payment plans, and general office/clerical functions, which may include, but is not limited to: billing, account research, student/public relations, answering phones, collection calls, writing letters, filing/scanning, assisting students by answering phones, questions and providing account information. Perform other functions to facilitate the college and Student Loans & Receivable department goals and operations. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

One year of post-high school education.
One year additional direct experience or training.

Preferred Qualifications

Customer Service Skills, Proficient using Microsoft Office, and General Office Knowledge & Experience.

Ability to organize and set priorities.
Detail and accuracy oriented.
Work well under pressure.
Complete multiple tasks effectively in a busy and stressful office.

Knowledge of College policies, procedures, and operations preferred.
Basic accounting skills.
Customer Service knowledge and skills.
Knowledge of general office procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities.

Non-Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Write and update procedures for accounts receivable functions; correspond with students and sponsors regarding accounts; provide back-up in the office environment.
