Job Description Summary

The Parent Educator will work collaboratively with families, education staff, and community partners to ensure that the program meets the needs of the whole child and supports parents/guardians of children enrolled in Preschool For All Expansion Program and/or the CCAMPIS program in addressing family needs and setting and achieving ambitious family goals.

This is a grant-funded position. Funding has been secured through June 30, 2025.

As a staff member at LLCC’s Child Development Center, you can look forward to 7 paid holidays a year, paid winter break, 4-day work week in the summer for 12 weeks, 2 personal days, 15 sick days, and starting with 10 vacation days per year. LLCC staff, their spouse and qualified dependent children are eligible to use the tuition waiver on credited courses. LLCC is a positive, team-oriented environment supportive of staff development. Required Qualifications

  • Experience in child development, early childhood education, social work or related field
  • Commitment to supporting at-risk families and capacity to deliver comprehensive family engagement support and services
  • Cultural and linguistic competency appropriate to community to be served
  • Current physical and TB test and current record of immunizations including 1 dose of Tdap and 2 doses of MMR vaccine or evidence of immunity to MMR

Physical requirements are as follows:
  • Carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Walk up to 1 mile
  • Grip, hold and pinch small objects
  • Dexterity to reach, bend, squat, stoop and kneel on a regular basis
  • Frequent climbing (ex. ladders, stairs)

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check, drug-screen, physical, and functional capacity exam.

Position Salary

Starting salary will be no less than $26,134 per year with an excellent benefits package.
