The Business Development Coordinator plays a critical role in advancing the college’s mission by developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with business, community, and government leaders throughout the Permian Basin. Reporting to the Vice President of Advancement, Business and Governmental Relations, the Business Development Coordinator ensures that key business, community, and government partnerships are maintained and included in relevant strategic initiatives.

Specific Position Duties

Work closely with VP of Advancement, Business and Governmental Relations to develop and execute a comprehensive and proactive business, community, and government relations strategy that advances the college’s vision and strategic priorities.
Establish and cultivate key relationships with business, community, and government leaders.
Provide consistent representation of the college at business, community, and government meetings and events.
Maintain communication with legislative officials and provide legislative updates.
Provide weekly reports to the Institutional Advancement team, highlighting key partnerships, communication timelines, and emerging needs.
Lead special projects and initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education in education, leadership, business, management, or related field.

Demonstrated ability to foster relationships with business, community, and/or government leaders.

Demonstrated leadership experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate cross functional team efforts across the college’s divisions.
