General Summary

This position will provide friendly, fast and useful technical assistance to the user community. Position must have an advanced working knowledge of computer hardware and common software packages such as Microsoft Office and various browsers.

Specific Position Duties

Coordination of all IT help desk activities for the college – central support of both telephone and system submitted IT work orders – triage support for users experiencing issues with technology systems – initial setup and management of new and existing users in various systems – support for campus telephone system and voice mail – Dispatch for audio visual services – support for common software applications – support for staff and student Wi-Fi systems – training for users on various software and systems – assist division with purchasing, asset and software license management

Minimum Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Products, and various Browsers. – Advanced knowledge of common computer hardware including both Windows and Apple products. – Ability to provide friendly and professional first-class customer service to all customers within the college community. – Ability to communicate effectively via telephone. – Ability to move computer equipment up to 50 lbs, crawl under furniture and climb up and down a six foot ladder to install needed equipment and peripherals. – Must have valid drivers license.
