Technical Support Analyst

Purpose

Effectively, competently, and efficiently support students, faculty, and staff with utilization of the Colleges Learning Management System and other technical support.

Qualifications

● Associates degree required; Bachelors preferred

● Must have a strong work ethic, good attendance record, and the ability to meet strict deadlines

● Must be flexible to field occasional calls after traditional work hours

● Must be able to work effectively on multiple projects at once

● Must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team environment

● Must have a strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and customer service skills

● Must possess strong computer skills such as proficiency in troubleshooting, file management, document creation, emailing documents as an attachment to multiple users, installing/uninstalling software, and other common tasks.

● Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

● Knowledge of HTML and CSS preferred

● Knowledge in multimedia software preferred, including Adobe Photoshop

● Experience with remote desktop sharing software preferred

● Experience troubleshooting internet browsers such as Firefox, Chrome and I.E.

Duties and Responsibilities

● Handle all student support calls related to the LMS, obtaining necessary books, and any technical inquiry such as troubleshooting browsers, aiding the student in installation of software, removing viruses and general computer questions.

● Distribute Microsoft Office licenses to students beginning their respective program and maintain the current licenses held by current students.

● Assist in the development, build, and preparation of online courses

● Assist in the creation of professional multimedia elements to be incorporated within our online courses

● Assist in conducting weekly checks of our online courses to ensure optimum functionality

● Complete preparation of our online courses before each new term

● Update and pull course evaluations at the conclusion of each term

● Assist the Asst. Director of IDT and Director of IDT as needed on various projects
