General Statement of Function
The department is creating a pool of potential part-time instructors to teach various academic and career/technical courses on-line as the need arises.
Specific areas of focus at this time:

- ECO 2113/2123 – Principles of Macroeconomics/Microeconomics
- ENG 1113/1123 – English Composition I/II
- HIS 2213/2223 – American History I/II
- SPT 1113 – Public Speaking
Job Description
1. Attend required adjunct faculty meetings and computer training sessions.
2. Perform the duties and functions of an instructor as they pertain to the teaching of courses.
3. Prepare course materials, organize classes, keep student records, maintain classrooms and equipment, and other duties related to the instructional process.
4. Perform all related and implied duties as may be directed.

Qualifications
Academic
1. Masters degree in the teaching discipline or masters degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline).
2. Applicants with community college teaching experience preferred.
3. Applicants must possess an understanding and commitment to the comprehensive community college philosophy.
4. Applicants must have excellent references from previous employers and/or professors.
Career-Technical
1. Bachelors degree in the teaching discipline or associates degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline.
2. Applicants with community college teaching experience preferred.
