Job Summary

University Transfer and Articulation (UTA)-Faculty Support Specialist – Located primarily at the Taylorsville Redwood Campus-Administration Building. The UTA Faculty Specialist will assist with planning, logistics and set up of Annual University Summits we host with university transfer partners. Assist faculty partners with 2+2 partnership coverage at the Taylorsville, Jordan, and Miller campus locations. Covering any transfer events held by SLCC Student Affairs and our partners regarding transfer. Event attendance would include but not be limited too, all Salt Lake Community College campuses and partnering institutions, as needed.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Providing materials, resources, and faculty support needed for our university partners. Assure that they have materials for the classroom, keys, parking passes, and anything not provided by the faculty’s primary institution.
Work with all university partners from academic advising to faculty in the 2+2 hosting programs. Organizing, creating, implementing, and reporting on all transfer support, including but not limited to, hosting academic advisor visits from transfer partner institutions, tabling as warranted for transfer events, including department held events like SLCC STEM Fair and semester-based evening events.



Working with marketing page to update student and academic advising resources. Partner with the Articulation Coordinator regarding website detail, messaging, and social media outreach.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties Continued

Taylorsville/Redwood- Transfer Center Coverage.

· Seeking coverage from 1PM to 6PM or 2PM to 7PM, may be times that different shift coverage is needed, Mon-Thu = 20 hours a week, up to 29 hours a week.
· Flexible to cover some Friday and very limited weekend events.
· Other duties as needed or assigned schedule will flex due to campus holidays and limited evening events.

***Opportunity to be trained in SLCC Events Scheduling and support the needs of the Academic Systems team.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license.
One (1) year of part time employment in facilitation of scheduling or events coverage, customer service support, faculty support or equivalent.
Must have the ability to read, write and speak fluent English.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office 365- use of Outlook, Teams and Calendar are essential.

Preferred Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license.
One (1) year of part time employment in facilitation of scheduling or events coverage, customer service support, faculty support or equivalent.
Must have the ability to read, write and speak fluent English.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office 365- use of Outlook, Teams and Calendar are essential.

1) Strong customer service orientation and communications skills; knowledge of general office procedures.
2) Ability to handle sensitive client information with discretion while maintaining confidentiality -FERPA,
3) Ability to handle conflict resolution with calm deliberation.
4) Ability to set priorities through use of tools like Teams and Outlook Calendar to organize tasks.
5) Ability to operate office and A/V equipment.
6) Ability to move 50 lbs.
7) Ability to maintain professional, positive attitude.
8) Ability to grow, adapt, take direction and work independently when necessary 9) Interpersonal skills including, problem solving, and decision-making skills; reliable and punctual.
10) Manage data by tracking University Partnership needs as faculty support for our partner programs is needed.
11) Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
12) Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic background of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.
