Summary

This position is responsible for assisting the coaching staff in all aspects of recruiting prospective student athletes to the University of Michigan Football program. Under the ultimate supervision of the Head Football Coach, this position will report to the Director of Player Personnel and adhere to all NCAA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities*

Provide daily support to the Coaching Staff in all matters pertaining to Prospective Student-Athlete recruitment and communication.

Assist in all on-campus recruiting activities including unofficial and official visits, campus and facility tours.

Aid in the data input, management, and daily updates within all recruiting software and databases.

Serve as Camp Director for all institutional summer football camps.

Work collaboratively with the Director of Player Personnel, Director of Recruiting Operations, and Coaching Staff in the identification, evaluation and recruitment of prospective student athletes.

Organize applicable recruiting information as determined by the Head Coach and other football staff members and engage in external communication to gather information on Prospective Student-Athletes.

Assist the Athletic Department's Name, Image, and Likeness initiatives as they pertain to the Football Program.

Establish relationships with prospective student-athletes, their families and champions of their recruitment.

Aid in the oversight and management of the football program's Preferred Walk-On recruiting efforts.

Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel.

Required Qualifications*

Bachelor degree required.

Recruiting, Playing, or Coaching experience at the collegiate or professional level.

Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.

Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Must have a service-oriented attitude.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines and work effectively with frequent interruptions.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills and solutions focused approach to challenges and improvements.

Demonstrated ability to utilize good judgment in the interpretation and application of policies and procedures and to exercise discretion in confidential matters is essential.

Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Concur, and google mail/calendar system.
