Position Summary

MCC instructors are higher education professionals who champion student learning. They engage and inspire students, applying innovative teaching and learning pedagogies to reach a variety of learners. They assess student learning to ensure student success, staying abreast of current and emerging trends in the discipline. Our instructors collaborate within the College as discipline experts, helping the College to reach its strategic goals through active participation in college committees and by promoting the College to future students throughout our community

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

- Teach the assigned class in accordance with the learning objectives and e-syllabus using instructional strategies to engage students

- Develop and manage working syllabus, course materials, and assignments 

- Provide formative feedback and summative evaluation of student performance throughout the learning process which could involve being available for student conferences either before or after class, and by College email if necessary

- Work cooperatively within the department, the division, and throughout the College in striving for educational excellence by implementing pedagogical techniques that increase student success

- Assessment of student learning

- Maintain and submit accurate attendance records, along with course related data

Required Qualifications

Masters degree from a regionally accredited institution
