Job Description

The academic advisor will provide learning-centered academic advising that aligns with students needs and career goals. The advisor must understand and articulate campus programs, policies, and procedures, assists students to develop college success strategies, and understands the impact of decision-making on progression, success and outcomes. This position will potentially have an advising load of 300-400 advisees in one or more designated areas.

The academic advisor will assist and be the primary point of contact for all students needing program changes, course withdrawals and the drop/add process.

Additional responsibilities include participating in New Student Orientations, responding to student and parent inquiries, managing enrollment data, participating in campus-wide projects, and other duties which support the mission and initiatives of the college.

Hours for this professional staff position will be primarily in the daytime, Monday through Friday; however, occasional evening and weekend hours may be required during peak enrollment periods.

Bachelors degree

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
