Job Description:

The P/T Jr. Office Assistant (Typist) will provide general office support and customer service for the White Plains Education and Training Center within the Division of Workforce Development and Community Education. Responsibilities include answering phones; receiving visitors; preparing various documents such as tables, charts, and forms; maintaining classroom schedules; sorting and routing incoming correspondence; sending outgoing messages to students such as class schedule; and assisting with email marketing.

 


Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  A minimum of a high school or equivalency diploma is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of Microsoft Office is strongly preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) is also strongly preferred.

 

 


Additional Information:

WORK SCHEDULE:  Monday-Thursday, 9:00am - 4:00pm. Flexibility to work evenings and Saturdays required.

POSITION EFFECTIVE: The position will remain open until filled.

HOURLY RATE OF PAY: $15.25 per hour. No benefits.  This position is fully granted funded.
