Teacher's Assistants - Preschool

Woodfords Family Services is expanding our Early Childhood Program and actively seeking caring and compassionate educators to join our growing team as Teacher's Assistants! These are full-time positions that come with a generous hourly rate and competitive benefits options!

 

Position Summary

As a Teacher's Assistant (Ed Techs I, II, or III) in our Early Childhood Program, you will work directly one-to-one with children ages 3-5 and diagnosed with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in a therapeutic classroom environment.

With oversight and instruction from the classroom Lead Teacher, Teacher's Assistants apply the use of evidence-based practices and early intervention strategies to support young learners in developing foundational skills that lead to achieving life-long goals and building independence!

Services will be provided onsite at our Specialized Preschool in Waterville, ME!

Schedule & Compensation

Full-time (40 hrs.); Monday thru Friday; 7:30am-3:30pm

$20-21/per hour - commensurate with education and experience

$1,500 Sign-on bonus - paid at successful completion of 6 months employment!

What are the qualifications to become a Teacher's Assistant?

• Ed Tech I - High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Ed Tech II - Minimum of 60 college credits
  • Associates Degree in a related field preferred.
• Ed Tech III - Minimum of 90 college credits
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
• Preference given to individuals with a minimum of two (2) years of related experience working with children with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Valid driver's license with clean record
• Personal vehicle and current auto insurance
