Minimum Qualifications/Requirements: |
Bachelors degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess a strong ability to pay attention to detail, an analytical mindset that lends well to problem solving, and the willingness to work on projects as part of a team and/or individually when needed. |
Preferred Qualifications: |
Two to three years experience in accounting and experience with MS Office software preferred.

Summary of Duties: |
The Budget and Grants Accountant works as an integral part of the Business and Finance team reporting to the Financial Analyst. This position will act as the financial point person for projects accounting on behalf of both COTC and The Ohio State University at Newark working closely with the facilities office to make sure that projects are staying within budget and appropriately funded. The Budget and Grants Accountant plays a key role in the annual budget process communicating with staff and faculty across campus as well as preparing and organizing documents to assist in the budget preparation. This individual will also assist with managing grants received by both institutions, ranging from awards received by the specific institution to those grants that are utilized by faculty, staff, and students.
