Job Summary

This position will assist the Shipping & Receiving Specialist with all duties associated with receiving orders for the College.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Computer literacy
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Shipping and receiving experience
  • Forklift experience
  • Must possess a valid Texas drivers license, good driving record, and be insurable on Midland Colleges insurance policy

Essential Functions

  • Receive deliveries
  • Complete receiving copies
  • Record and tag inventory
  • Assist with online auctions
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move or drive to other locations on and off campus
  • Use of manual dexterity
  • Frequently moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
  • Frequently moves boxes or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor weather conditions during deliveries
  • Warehouse environment
  • Frequently operates motorized equipment or machinery, including a forklift

Security Sensitivity

All Midland College positions are security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. An employment offer is contingent on completion of a satisfactory criminal background investigation.
