GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:

 

The Professional/Program Development Technician is responsible for assisting with grant and professional development events, communication, scheduling for professional development and growth mindset activities for adult learners (25 and older). Support the Professional and Organizational Development office through data entry, the creation of digital files/PD classes, campus communications, grades, and procedures. Assist in scheduling PD training with external speakers. Develop a faculty and staff mentoring network and assist in pairings of mentoring program for adult learners (25 and older). This position receives general direction from the Coordinator of Professional and Organizational Development and exercises no supervision. NOTE: This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.

Accomplish tasks with minimal instruction. 15. Work in a team or individually. 14. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. 15. Maintain confidentiality at all times.

 


WORKING CONDITIONS:

Sedentary-Desk work; occasional field trips e.g. for college or program activities. Minimal Hazard/Exposure-Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls are in place to assure health and comfort.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Associate Degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: More than one year of work experience in an office setting or higher education.
