Position Summary:
Moraine Park Technical College is seeking a visionary and dynamic leader to guide our Health and Human Services (HHS) division into an exciting new era of growth and innovation.
 

As the Dean of HHS, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our programs and facilities, ensuring that we continue to provide exceptional educational opportunities in Nursing, Health Sciences and Human Services for our students and meet the evolving needs of our community. With the recent passage of a $55,000,000 referendum, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of our college.
 

Immediate priorities include:
  • Leading the development of a new Horicon Regional Center and fire training grounds.
    Directing the creation of a new Fire Protection Technician degree program.
    Expanding fire training and Emergency Medical Services dual enrollment offerings with our K12 partners.
Longer-term priorities include:
  • Guiding our HHS team through the referendum-funded building project to enhance how we deliver Nursing and Health Sciences programming on the Fond du Lac Campus with a focus on interdisciplinary instruction.
  • Reimagining instructional delivery and scheduling in HHS.
  • Developing new program offerings that meet future needs of employers.
  • Fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation within the HHS division.
  • Expanding our partnerships with local healthcare providers and businesses to provide students with real-world learning experiences.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Plan, organize and manage the operation of assigned Academic areas and programming, including diversity and inclusion initiatives, policies, and procedures, budgets, special projects, grants, resource allocations, and student and employee issues.
  • Recommend and lead the implementation of new initiatives, programming, and program and course modifications.
  • Provide oversight of enrollment management processes to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of room and course scheduling, in support of student retention, development, and success. Ensure faculty workloads are developed and maintained according to established guidelines.
  • Hire, mentor, and supervise assigned employees. Responsible for the performance management, coaching, and ongoing growth and development of direct reports.
  • Ensure decisions are data informed. Provide leadership in determining instructional support resource needs, equipment, software, and classroom/lab technology.
  • Manage the departmental budget and monitor expenses for areas of direct supervision. Provide input for strategic planning and budget development to include current expenses, major equipment, and College initiative requests. Manage grant and budget expenditures.
 

Experience & Qualifications:
 
  • Masters degree in an academic discipline or Higher Educational Administration, Community College Leadership, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
  • Five years of progressively more responsible experience in higher education administration.
  • Three years of supervisory experience.
  • Two years of secondary or post-secondary teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with regional accreditation, credit and non-credit program development, curriculum development, online delivery, assessment, evaluation of programs and services, and budget.
  • Ability to review and analyze complex multi-functional systems, processes, and relationships and the ability to strategically plan and formulate policy and procedures.
 

Hiring Range: 
$97,918 - $122,398
Startin g: Spring semester 2024
Remote/Hybrid/In-Office: Limited work from home upon approval.
