Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician position should have a general knowledge of methods, materials, and procedures used in buildings and equipment maintenance.

Required Qualifications

  • One year of verifiable experience in building maintenance
  • Basic computer literacy, including use of Windows system
  • Must possess a valid Texas Drivers license, good driving record, and be insurable on Midland Colleges insurance policy

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

Essential Functions

  • General maintenance duties
  • Completion of work orders
  • Repairs, electrical, changing of filters, motors, and belts on AC equipment
  • Repair doors, locks, equipment, plumbing, painting, and replace light bulbs
  • All other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs
  • Ability to operate motorized equipment
  • Use of manual dexterity
  • Indoor and outdoor work performed in all kinds of weather
  • Weekend call approximately every 6th weekend

Security Sensitivity
