Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician position should have a general knowledge of methods, materials, and procedures used in buildings and equipment maintenance.

Required Qualifications

One year of verifiable experience in building maintenance
Basic computer literacy, including use of Windows system
Must possess a valid Texas Drivers license, good driving record, and be insurable on Midland Colleges insurance policy

Preferred Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

Essential Functions

General maintenance duties
Completion of work orders
Repairs, electrical, changing of filters, motors, and belts on AC equipment
Repair doors, locks, equipment, plumbing, painting, and replace light bulbs
All other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to climb ladders and stairs
Ability to operate motorized equipment
Use of manual dexterity
Indoor and outdoor work performed in all kinds of weather
Weekend call approximately every 6th weekend
