Western Nebraska Community College is accepting applications for an instructor who will teach Criminal Justice courses using multiple modalities including face-to-face. The position is based out of the Scottsbluff Campus.

Responsibilities: Oversee curriculum and program for a two-year associate degree in general criminal justice; recruit and educate students; teach assigned course using multiple modalities including face-to-face; advise students, maintain office hours, serve on college committees, assessment, and student learning outcomes; maintain liaison with local, state, and other appropriate criminal justice agencies; assist in selection of staff for both on and off campus course offerings; work with grants as available. Evening classes are scheduled, plus concurrent credit teaching for high school students. Travel to regional campuses may be required. Program coordination and curriculum development are expectations.

Qualifications: Master's degree in Criminal Justice or masters degree in a closely related field with 18 graduate hours in the discipline or subfield. Requires learning-centered individual and documented abilities to deliver effective instruction using multiple media, including face-to-face, virtual, blended, and online delivery methods; community college teaching experience preferred. Experience with assessment practices and a passion for student learning and student service are weighted heavily in the hiring process. Ability to teach in a second discipline preferred.

Salary: Salary starts at $53,300 with a masters degree for a 175-day position but may be increased for additional education and experience. Excellent benefits.
