Position Summary:
Required Qualifications:
- Masters degree in English or
- Masters degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of the following:
o Applied Linguistics,
o Creative Writing,
o English,
o Grammar,
o Literature,
o Rhetoric and Composition, or
o Technical Writing.
Job Description:
- English faculty are expected to teach ENC 1101 and ENC 1102 (Composition) and to contribute to the college community through committee work, on-going professional development, and collaborative curriculum development.
- Love of teaching is primary.
- Prefer applicants with:
- Experience teaching college-level composition.
- Community college teaching experience.
- Experience working with a diverse population.
- Experience creating and teaching online classes.

- Pay Rate:
- A faculty member shall be assigned to the appropriate salary grade based on the contract with the faculty union.
Grade 2: Masters Degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the field $49,922.71
Grade 2+:Masters Degree with 30 graduate semester hours in the field $52,479.32
Grade 1: Earned Doctor in major field $55,037.06
