Director, HS Programs Enrollment and Partnerships

Job Description Summary:

Responsible for the strategic planning and operational management of the administration of the district-wide high school programs, including oversight of enrollment, recruitment, and registration of high school students. The position includes collaboration with members of the Office of College and High School Relations team, the college community, and our service area high schools to accomplish comprehensive student recruitment, engagement, and registration into high school programs.

Job Description:

Description of Duties and Tasks

1) Supervises, trains, coaches, directs, coordinates, and disciplines personnel while adhering to organizational human resource policies and procedures as well as related employment laws. Recommends hire and termination of personnel actions for positions supervised.
2) Develops, directs, implements, and administers the districtwide enrollment and partnerships for all high school programs.
3) Recommends and monitors departmental budget for High School Program Enrollment and Partnerhips. Serves as a budget authority and manages the preparation and monitoring of unit budget and purchase requisitions.
4) Establishes administrative guidelines and operational processes consistent with state requirements; maintains, updates, and communicates changes as needed.
5) Collaborates with other departments to coordinate activities and personnel for enhancing effectiveness and responsiveness for the enrollment and partnerships of all high school programs.
6) Organizes and facilitates regular meetings with Austin Community College (ACC) faculty, staff, and school district personnel to ensure successful program integration.
7) Advises the Associate Vice Chancellor of College and High School Relations on matters regarding assigned programs/services; and provides information, advice, and documents to the staff, administrators, and others as necessary.
8) Facilitates in the hiring process for qualified secondary faculty for all high school programs; monitors and verifies ACC pay status for school district (ISDe)/ACC adjunct faculty members teaching ACC courses at high school locations; provides initial vetting of credentials; ensures ACC complies with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) compliance at high school teaching locations.
9) Develops, organizes, implements, and tracks professional development and training opportunities for high school program staff activities to improve high school program enrollment and dual credit matriculation rates; may act as subject matter expert; provides training to high school relations staff and college staff as needed.
10) Provides, analyzes, and reports high school program data (e.g., enrollment, recruitment, partner events, etc.) for all high school programs.
11) Analyze and evaluate other high school programs to identify best practices.
12) Works closely with both the school district and ACC administration to coordinate efforts to improve enrollment rates among all high school programs.
13) Coordinates and leads professional development opportunities for enrollment and partnership staff to implement student success and access initiatives.
14) Ensures use of a variety of effective delivery systems and methodologies maintaining channels of communication, implementation of institutional technology used for recruiting and engaging students, supporting workgroups and taskforces, and creating quality support and learning staff.

15)  Maintains accurate data for reports and informed decision-making, tracks trends, and enrollment and registration results, reviews program, assesses deliverables, identifies key issues, ascertains current and future needs of the student population, and recommends enhancements. 

16) Collaborates with other key departments such as Admissions & Records, faculty, deans of Student Affairs, deans of Instruction, and others to coordinate activities and personnel for enhancing the innovation, effectiveness, and responsiveness of the High School program along with supporting overall student success initiatives.

17)  Meets regularly with the AVP, College and High School Relations, Vice Chancellor of Instruction, and other senior college leaders to develop and assess philosophy, strategies, and initiatives relating to the goals of the college strategic plan.

Technology Skills
* Use a variety of spreadsheet, word processing, database, and presentation software.

Required Work Experience
* Three years of related work experience including one year of supervisory experience. Education cannot be substituted for supervisory experience.

Required Education
* Bachelor's degree.

Physical Requirements
* Work is performed in a standard office or similar environment.
* Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
* Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.

Salary Range

$73,896 - $92,370
