- Ability to deal effectively with the public, students, faculty, staff and external agencies.
- Willingness to work on a flexible basis when activities fall outside of normal working hours.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in student affairs/higher education administration or related field.
- Experience working with a campus programming board and student organizations.
- Experience with advising and providing training for students.
- Experience with supervising student employees.
- Experience with large volume (1-5000 attendees) event planning and management.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal communication and writing skills.
- General enthusiasm, positive attitude, a self-starter and team player with the ability to instill the same in others.
- Intermediate level computer skills using Microsoft Office, databases and web page maintenance, and thorough familiarity with social media technology.
- Possess a working knowledge of risk management practices and implementation.
- Ability to exhibit and teach strong customer service skills.

Lead, direct, and advise PSUs student-run programming board (PACS), providing the members of the organization with direction and support in their development and implementation of campus-wide educational, social, recreational, and cultural programming for the student body; including, but not limited to: live entertainment, ‘home-grown events, trips, and fall and spring annual themed events (i.e. Welcome Week, Fresh Check, Homecoming & Family Weekend, Winter Carnival, and Spring Fling). Events may range from thought- provoking guest lectures, ‘pub nights, and multicultural events to comedy and musical performances and large-scale dance parties that support retention and persistence.
Assist PACS in developing their annual budget request and presentation to the student senate finance committee.
Duty/Responsibility
Lead, create, and develop Fraternity and Sorority Life effort.
Facilitate and advise the Inter-Greek Council.
Support Student Government, recognized student clubs and organizations to advance their educational and social event planning and implementation skills sets.
Facilitate the management and support of a student organization event registration process.
Develop and distribute calendar of events/event communications for student programs.

Serve as lead supervisor of 15-20 Student Life student staff, which includes recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, and assessing student staff, consistent with the student staff training program.

Development of campus-wide student events, which will include representing Student Life in collaboration with colleagues across campus (i.e. Events & Conference Services, Residential Life, Athletics, Silver Center for the Arts, Alumni Relations, University Police) to provide a comprehensive offering of campus programs for students, fostering a cohesive student involvement experience.
Track participation, collect data, evaluate, analyze, benchmark, and assess student programming to determine successes, implement adjustments and develop alternative models for scaling programs.
