Specialist Security Officer, Mid

Key Role:

Perform a wide range of functions to ensure the protection of government sensitive and classified information. Assist in the operation of command SSO, SCI, Special Access Programs (SAP), and general security programs. Maintain directives, regulations, manuals, standard operating procedures, emergency action plans, and guidelines. Maintain the Defense Information Security System (DISS) for command SCI or SAP cleared personnel. Review SCI or SAP SSO security activities, and assist SCI or SAP security education training and awareness programs and annual self-assessments. Maintain appropriate accreditation documentation for the SCIF, assisting with logistics, inventory, and property control support. Assist in the development and maintaining of Construction Security Plans (CSP) and physical security standards for critical infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a U.S. Navy Security Specialist in managing TS/SCI material
  • 2+ years of experience as a Special Security Officer or Special Security Representative
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience working with SAP security

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,100.00 to $119,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
