Responsibilities

This position is remote and can be located anywhere in the United States.

We are seeking an ambitious MBA intern to join our Global Business Services (GBS) team, focusing on strategic sourcing and process improvement. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive significant impact within our organization by building out foundational elements of our strategic sourcing function and identifying consolidation and savings opportunities. Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Developing and documenting policies and procedures to standardize sourcing practices across the organization, ensuring a cohesive approach to vendor management.
  • Analyzing indirect spend categories to identify opportunities for consolidation, savings, and efficiency improvements.
  • Crafting sourcing strategies that align with organizational goals, leveraging market analysis and vendor assessments.
  • Supporting the build-out of internal operating agreements and contributing to the optimization of the GBS operating model.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing an MBA with a focus on Supply Chain, Operations, Business Administration, or related fields with an expected graduation date between December 2024 and June 2025.
  • Demonstrated interest in strategic sourcing, procurement, or process improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • GPA 3.0+
  • Ability to commit 40 hours per week for 12 weeks during the summer of 2024.

Benefits

Compensation depends on the applicable US geographic market. The expected base pay for this position ranges from $25 - $40 an hour, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
