The position of Visual Arts Instructor is Open Until Filled to create a qualified instructor pool.

In the Full-Time Visual Arts Instructor, we are looking for an organized, energetic leader for our thriving Visual Arts program and Art Gallery. The successful candidate will teach both in person and online in a variety of subjects, help guide the Art Gallery exhibit schedule, and curate/maintain the colleges Permanent Art Collection.

QUALIFICATIONS
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
- MA or MFA in Art History or Visual Arts/Discipline-Specific area from a regionally accredited college
- At least three years recent experience in visual arts and/or art history at the college level (or the equivalent work experience).
- Ability to be on campus Monday – Friday and may include both day and evening hours.
- Familiarity with and/or ability to quickly learn computer technologies used in communication, teaching, and record keeping (word processing, basic spread sheets, Canvas and Banner)
- Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively with others and the ability to work collaboratively.
- 3 – 5 years experience teaching visual arts or art history at a community college.
- Experience in managing an art gallery exhibit schedule and installations.
- Prior experience developing and teaching online classes with the Canvas LMS.
- Experience in strategic planning for arts programs.
- Experience as an effective department chair.
