The research and entrepreneurship of the faculty, students, and staff aim to accumulate, generate, and disseminate biomedical engineering knowledge to improve health care for the benefit of the people of North Carolina, the nation, and the world.
Essential Job Duties
We are currently seeking applications for a Lecturer position to deliver lectures and facilitate learning activities for a course in the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at NCSU (North Carolina State University).
- Deliver lectures that cover the course objectives as stated on the course syllabus following the dates of the NCSU university calendar for the given semester.
- Assess student performance including exams, projects, and/or homework assignments as outlined on the course syllabus.
- Facilitate lectures by guest speakers.
- Support clinical immersion activities.
- All other responsibilities associated with teaching the course including grading exams, papers and projects in a timely manner and providing help to students during scheduled office hours.
Other Responsibilities
Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience
MS in Biomedical Engineering or related field or BS with significant industry experience ( minimum 7-10 yrs)
Other Required Qualifications
- Expertise in the subject area of the course to be taught.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
