This position will serve as the primary contact for planning, coordination and execution of campus events that will impact parking.
This position will perform event-related administrative tasks, including:
- meet and speak with clients to plan event parking
- assemble and disseminate customer quotes and invoices
- monitor and respond to messages and emails
- create virtual event permits for customers to purchase through the online parking portal
- create and distribute individualized event permit instructions, quotes, maps and billing letters
- submit work orders for lot equipment placement (signs, cones, barricades)
- coordinate and manage event staffing with contract vendor
- document detailed event processes and SOPs
- maintain the departmental events calendar
This position will perform event-related field-work on campus, including:
- on-site meetings related to planning of events
- on-site management of events
- schedule, train, supervise and communicate with contracted employees
- on-site confirmation of equipment placement (cones, signs, barricades)
This position is responsible for managing event parking and traffic operations performed by a contractor per University issued contract.
This position will occasionally fill in for the Customer Service Representatives as needed.

- Ability to use or learn to use a variety of office equipment and software to in lude but not limited to parking software, copier, receipt printer, databases, spreadsheets, computer, Microsoft Office, Zoom, google Suite, and Cisco multi-line phone system.
- Must demonstrate autonomy in decision-making while adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to explain policies and regulations to customers in a readily comprehensible way.
- Provide excellent customer service to all customer personalities.
- Effectively communicate with a diverse range of customers via text, chat, email, phone, video conference and in-person on a daily basis.
- Ability to identify customer trends and report them to the Parking Services manager for analysis.
- Make decisions quickly using sound judgement, best business practices and knowledge of policy to ensure consistency in parking strategies.
- Must be organized with the ability to maintain a clear and concise schedule of events that is constantly changing.
- Ability to identify overlapping parking/traffic impacts, create solutions, raise client awareness, and coordinate available resources to reduce waste.
- Must be able to effectively train, supervise and communicate with contracted employees for event parking/traffic operations outdoors in the parking facilities and roads on campus
- Ability to compile and review reports and recommend improvements or strategies for change.
- Skills in projecting operating budgets for individual events, perform cost analysis, track expenses and itemize invoices.
- Ability to develop and maintain campus and external partnerships.
