Full job description
CCDs nursing programs are designed to create competent, ethical and confident health care practitioners in an innovative, inclusive and supportive learning environment. In a context that purposefully embraces faculty empowerment and an organizational heritage for student learning and programmatic excellent and in cooperation with the Director of Nursing Education Programs and nursing faculty, The Associate Nursing Instructional Personnel is responsible for assisting with laboratory and clinical simulation activities.
Associate Nursing Instructional Personnel are Licensed nurses working under the direction and supervision of nursing faculty, who assist students in laboratory and/or clinical simulation environments to meet specific nursing goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Assist the lead faculty in assigned laboratory or simulation.
- Assist with preparing and setting up lab prior to the start of class.
- Work in close collaboration with the lead faculty to ensure students receive all materials and schedules prior to the start of lab/simulation.
- Effectively communicate with students and provide clear instructions of lab/simulation expectations.
- Ensure preparedness by familiarizing self with student objectives and identify methods to support student achievement of these objectives within the lab/simulation setting.
- Promote a professional image and standard by abiding with all relevant Program, College and System policies.
- Attend course meetings as needed.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Education:(Minimum/Required)
- An active Unencumbered license to practice as a practical or registered nurse in Colorado.
- Practical Nursing Certificate
Experience: (required/minimum)
- At least two-year experience as a licensed nurse (4000 hours).
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: (required/minimum)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in diverse environments.
- Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Adaptability and organizational skills that will allow student assistance in laboratory and clinical simulation settings providing appropriate and constructive feedback.
- Technology knowledge and skills that will allow development and integration of current technological educational methodologies in and out of the classroom.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse group.
Education: (preferred)
- Associate Degree in Nursing or higher
Experience: (preferred)
- One (1) year of experience in a lab or simulation environment that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities at the PN level or higher.

Pay: $45.10 per hour
