Summary of Position

The Athletic Ticket Operations Manager reports to the Associate Athletic Director, Business Development and is responsible for all matters pertaining to customer service, athletic ticket sales and operations, distribution of marketing materials, special event preparation, administrative information systems and marketing and sales reporting. The Athletic Ticket Operations Manager creates a comfortable ticket purchasing atmosphere for customers making the buying process easy and customer friendly and revenue enhancing.

  • BA/BS degree (Business, Marketing, Communications preferred)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years in a box office/sales environment with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Proficient in a ticketing solutions system as well as Excel
  • Expected to work weekends, holidays, and nighttime hours
  • Demonstrated experience in hiring and managing part time employees is required

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a sports box office
  • Highly effective telephone, computer, and organizational skills
  • The ability to maintain composure and professionalism during periods of peak demand
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to highest level of customer service
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Experience in developing budgets and managing cost-of-sales is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of PCI DSS compliance and procedures
  • Excellent people skills, with the ability to interact effectively and in a professional, diplomatic, and mature manner with internal and external clients at all levels

Duty/Responsibility

  • Oversight of day-to-day operations of the UNH Ticket Office
  • Supervise Ticket Office staff, including Box Office Assistant, Part Time Employees, and Interns.
  • Assist ticket buyers daily with inbound and outbound phone calls
  • Process tickets in a timely and accurate manner to ensure fulfillment is being met amongst Season Ticket Members, Corporate Partners, Group Buyers, and Individual Ticket Buyers
  • Development and management of ticket office budget

Duty/Responsibility

  • Maintain and optimize Audience View ticketing system and CRM database. Evaluate best practices and vendors for current and future implementation opportunities
  • Manages on-sales, seat relocation processes, and all digital ticketing aspects.
  • Responsible for preparing weekly reports on ticket revenue, sales, attendance, and other key metrics.
  • Ensures compliance with NCAA, America East, Hockey East, CAA, EAGL.
  • Maintain competency with respect to knowledge of NCAA rules, ensure compliance with NCAA rules, and report to the Director of Athletics your knowledge of any violation of NCAA, conference and/or institutional rules. Actions that violate NCAA rules will result in disciplinary or corrective actions as set forth in the provisions of the NCAA enforcement procedures.
  • Oversees game day management for all ticketed home events

Duty/Responsibility

  • Collaboration with Ticket Sales and External Relation staffs to maximize attendance and support promotional activities throughout the year.
  • Assist External Relations team in growing revenue through strategic sales/marketing initiatives.
  • Create and maintain data models to assist External Relations team with recommendations and strategic decisions related to revenue generation, growing attendance, marketing efforts, etc.

Duty/Responsibility

  • Identify key observations and other valuable insights within market from internal and external data sources.
  • Assist sales team with warm leads developed through inbound phone calls, data collection, and other key CRM platforms.
  • Establish procedures in the use of the ticketing software product enabling the Athletic Department to independently extract ticket sale data on an event-by-event basis and thereby establishing an accounts receivable for ticket settlements with our Business Service Center and the Box Office.
  • Direct contact person with the SNHU Arena for UNH and NCAA events held at their facility. Assist with seat holds, distribution of tickets, and direct interaction with SNHU Box Office Manager. Direct contact person for other university athletic departments for consignment tickets and will call arrangements.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Deputy Director of Athletics and the Associate Athletic Director for Business Development.
