The Library Specialist oversees the day-to-day operations of the campus library. This key position leads the public service team, and with that team provides circulation services, answers technology questions, manages the information desk and works extensively one-on-one with students and faculty both in person and online. The Library Specialist coordinates the circulation of library materials and maintains the librarys collections. The associate recruits, trains and manages the work of the student assistants, and participates in the training of other team members. The Library Specialist collects data about library usage, updates documentation and contributes suggestions for ensuring library services contribute to student success. The Specialist works with the library director and librarians to plan, implement and market library programs, engagement activities, and instructional workshops. The Specialist supports general college activities, as requested. Some evenings or weekends may be required.
