Job Function

The Work Study and Human Resources (HR) coordinator will independently coordinate and implement human resources and administrative talent management tasks. Primary focus will be given to coordinate, promote and manage the College Work study program placing eligible work-study students in on-campus and off campus community service positions

Job Responsibilities



Work study Responsibilities


  • Create and implement recruiting and placement strategies for college work study positions
  • Ensure that Federal and State work-study allocations are fully utilized.
  • Develop and maintain employment reports to monitor Federal work-study awards
  • Develop and maintain daily work study activity tracking system for reporting purposes
  • Serve as a liaison between students, employers and the Financial Aid office on job placement, program issues as well as problem resolution
  • Plan and coordinate work-study student and employer Orientation Sessions
  • Ensure compliance with all related Title IV regulations, including the required use of funds for community service placements
  • Prepare and co-maintain human resource and college work study off-campus agreements
  • Ensure work study information on web site, documents and brochures is current
  • Recruit, and assist with job development of work-study employers both on and off-campus
  • Develop and maintain computerized office management system for student credentials and employer job matching
  • Travel to off-campus employment sites as necessary
  • Handle timecard submission for on and off-campus college work study students
  • Coordinate job fairs, recruiting initiatives and other special projects as appropriate
Human Resources Responsibilities
  • Work with and maintain job postings on Applicant tracking software
  • Process personnel paperwork including new hire, rehire, re-assign and terminations
  • Assists with recruitment, interviews, marketing and postings for Full Time and Part-Time college candidates
  • Assist with Assessment tests for bargaining unit members as assigned
  • Assist with employee recognition programs and projects as assigned
  • Address departmental inquiries such as calls and emails
  • Provide assistance and coverage for other Human Resources positions within office as assigned
  • Participate in professional development opportunities as assigned to enhance job skills
  • Supports HR functions as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Education

Associates degree required. Bachelors degree or higher in Business or Human Resources or a related field of study preferred.

Qualifications

Experience in task coordination and client services required. Must possess valid drivers license, insurance and reliable transportation as occasional travel to sites is required. Experience in human resources, recruiting and or student services is a strong asset.
