Scope of Position

EDF Renewables North America is a market-leading independent power producer and service provider with over 35 years of experience. We deliver grid-scale power: wind (onshore and offshore), solar photovoltaic, and storage projects; distribution-scale power: solar and storage; asset optimization: technical, operational, and commercial expertise to maximize the performance of generating projects, and onsite solutions, through the Company's PowerFlex affiliate, offering a full suite of onsite energy solutions for commercial and industrial customers: solar, storage, EV charging, energy management systems, and microgrids.

The Sr. Manager, Facilities is responsible for the lease and long-term space planning as well as day-to-day office needs for the EDFR North America Corporate Headquarters in San Diego, CA (Carmel Mountain Ranch); as well as lease responsibility for regional development offices. Additionally, the Facilities Manager has oversight of the physical security program for the corporate office, two regional offices and thirty plus renewable energy asset sites across the United States. They operate at both the tactical and strategic level to sustain the current and future Facilities needs of a multi-state employer.

Responsibilities
    Responsible for the assignment of office space to support existing and future employees, as well as space for storage, support services, equipment, etc., for departments.
  • Oversees HQ reception, including but not limited to mail, shipping, security badges, and initial visitor experience.
  • Assure the optimal functioning of building systems including mechanical, fire/life/safety, security, etc.
  • Manages staff to provide to internal customers.
  • Responsible for planning, budgeting, and scheduling facilities modifications including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts, and contracts for construction and acquisitions.
  • Oversight of contractors for facilities renovation projects including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, office floor arrangements, furniture needs, telephone and other office equipment needs within each location, etc.
  • Oversight of vendors engaged in facility maintenance including scheduling repairs and maintenance of utilities such as HVAC, generator, and fire-suppression.Manages a facilities financial budget of $6M+.
  • Shared responsibility for design and implementation of FERC/NERC compliant site physical security at multiple installations in the U.S.
  • Write and issue RFPs with contractors and other vendors.

Supervision of Others:

  • 1 full-time Sr. Facilities Assistant
  • 1 full-time Front Desk Administrator/Administrative Assistant
  • 1 part-time Security Advisor.

Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements

  • 7 years of experience in facilities management, preferably for large (1000+ employees), multi-facility physical operations and management of complex project schedules with competing goals and budgets.
  • 4 years of experience managing a multi-million-dollar facilities budget.
  • 4 years of experience managing work locations in multiple states.
  • Significant experience with space planning in an office environment, including but not limited to evaluating office furniture and equipment needs, square footage per employee, optimal arrangements, and set-up, etc.

A plus if you have...

  • A bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • 10+ years of facilities management experience.

Required Skills

  • Exhibiting professional behavior and excellent customer service with both internal and external business stakeholders that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company core values
  • Using common PC based software including Microsoft Office Suite.

Required Knowledge

  • Creating RFPs and making recommendations based upon budget and business needs.
  • Construction process, including but not limited to, permit requirements, ability to request and evaluate proposals from multiple contractors.
  • SAP to include creating and approving purchase orders, purchase requisitions, and invoices.

Required Abilities

  • Read and interpret architect's drawings, specifications, and communicate this information to lay persons (other employees), etc.
  • Read, evaluate, and negotiate leases with property managers, property owners, etc.
  • Problem-solving ability including but not limited to developing, selling, and implementing potential solutions.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to walk around and be on your feet to supervise vendors, staff and address repairs and maintenance of the building.

Working Conditions:

Job is based in the community of Carmel Mountain Ranch/Rancho Bernardo. 65% of time is spent in the office environment, using computers to include frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs, phones, and general office equipment. 35% of time is spent throughout the office managing vendors, addressing needs of internal customers. Travel to regional offices as needed during major office relocations.

Benefits:

This role's annual base salary range is between $91,000 & $152,000.
