Description
Blue Mountain Community College seeks qualified applicants to add to our list of approved instructors.
Teaches assigned courses and develop curriculum in accordance with course descriptions as outlined in a course syllabus and schedule requirements.
Orients students by distribution of course syllabi early in the quarter as to the objectives, measurable outcomes, purposes of the course, attendance requirements, nature of assignments or requirements and required texts.
Prepares and presents records and reports necessary for proper institutional management.
Follows the highest ethical standards of the teaching profession and promotes the best interests of the College.
May be asked to maintain office hours and advise students.
Assignment(s) may include day and/or evening courses, weekdays and/or weekends, face-to-face and/or distance-delivered instruction.
Qualifications
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of computers, with skills in MS Word and Excel.
Professional-Technical: Bachelors degree in field and /or certification by recognized national certifying organization and/or appropriate experience. Lower Division Collegiate:
A Master's Degree in discipline or Masters degree plus 20 graduate hours in the subject area applied for, and prior teaching experience.
May be asked to maintain office hours and advise students. Assignment(s) may include day and/or evening courses, weekdays and/or weekends, face-to-face and/or distance-delivered instruction.
List of 3-4 classes you feel you are qualified to instruct.
