JOB TITLE: COLLEGE DIRECTOR OF WEBSITE SERVICES DEPARTMENT: MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION

SALARY RANGE: $80,000 – $105,000 FLSA: EXEMPT


 

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Chief Marketing and Communications Officer

SCHEDULE DETAILS: Full Time - 12-month position - PSRS position


 

Position Summary

The College Director of Website Services serves as a leader and visionary, integrating Ozarks Technical Community Colleges website and digital platforms ecosystem to create a seamless user experience. This role oversees the comprehensive website strategy, execution, and reporting to enhance the college's reputation, recruitment, and revenue generation. The Director is instrumental in identifying and implementing effective online tools and experiences, implementing the college brand digitally, and collaborating across departments to maintain and advance the college's digital presence.


Essential Job Duties

  • Provides operational direction for the enhancement and optimization of the Colleges website and digital platforms, including compliance with accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508).
  • Collaborates with the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer to develop and implement digital strategies aligned with the College's strategic priorities, such as reputation advancement and enrollment.
  • Forms strategic partnerships across IT, marketing departments, and campus units to enhance the website's functionality and user engagement.
  • Oversees market research and user testing activities to refine digital strategies.
  • Ensures the digital content complies with legal, privacy, and accreditation standards and supports effective marketing conversion strategies.
  • Directly manages key web and digital projects, ensuring alignment with the Colleges objectives and operational efficiency.
  • Provides leadership and direction to a team of technical and content web strategists to optimize web traffic and user engagement through effective content strategies and SEO.
  • Manages relationships with external vendors and agencies to support the College's digital initiatives.
  • Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
  • Comply with college policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including attending college functions, including serving on committees and attending community events.
  • Perform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, and standards.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Associates degree in marketing, communications, business, computer science, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three years experience in digital marketing/website development, including significant experience with CMS systems, particularly WordPress.
  • Proven ability in digital strategy development, including SEO and content strategy, across various platforms (Google, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing both in-house teams and external contractors.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to present complex digital concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong writing skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling content that aligns with strategic goals and to provide direction for content developers.
  • Strong knowledge in CSS, HTML, PHP, JAVA, and XML to be able to communicate with web programming team.
  • Knowledge in enterprise databases such as MySQL and Microsoft SQL.
  • Certified in Google Analytics.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to use information technology for professional productivity.

 

Preferred Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelors degree in marketing or related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
  • The ability to present technical information clearly, to non-technical users.
  • Experience with other Content Management Systems (i.e., OpenText Red Dot, Joomla, Drupal).
  • Experience working with Wrike, Asana or other project management software.
  • Experience with Acalog.
  • Experience with Modern Campus (NuCloud) Maps.
  • Google Ads Certification.
  • Ability to work remotely while leading remote teams.
  • Experience with Colleague.
  • Experience working within a collegiate setting.
