Job Summary

This position will assist the Coordinator of Shipping & Receiving with all duties associated with receiving orders for the College.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent
Computer literacy
Detail oriented
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must possess a valid Texas drivers license, good driving record, and be insurable on Midland Colleges insurance policy

Preferred Qualifications

Shipping and receiving experience
Forklift experience

Essential Functions

Receive deliveries
Complete receiving copies
Record and tag inventory
Assist with online auctions
Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
The person in this position needs to occasionally move or drive to other locations on and off campus
Use of manual dexterity
Must be able to bend, reach overhead, and lift/move boxes or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
The person in this position frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information
Frequently moves self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
Warehouse environment
Capable of climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, and repetitive twisting
Ability to work in indoor and outdoor weather conditions during deliveries
Warehouse environment
Frequently operates motorized equipment or machinery, including a forklift
