Job Description

Butler County Community College (BC3) is currently accepting applications for the position of Financial Manager BC3 Education Foundation. This is a temporary full-time, grant funded position that will begin immediately and will continue as long as grant funds are available.

Reporting to the Interim Director of Fundraising and External Relations, the Financial Manager BC3 Education Foundation is responsible for assisting the Executive Director in management of all Foundation functions.  The position also manages and performs all accounting activities including developing, implementing, and maintaining accounting systems, policies, and procedures.  This position interfaces with the Foundations treasurer and Finance Committee, outside accounting firm, financial institutions, and many areas of the College. Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Four years of financial management experience in the accounting field, including experience with fund accounting standards and procedures, and a familiarity with investment management principles with preference given to daily operation of non-profit 501(c)3 organization required.   Working knowledge of budget planning and data management required.  Experience working with volunteer boards and committees in an effective professional manner preferred.  Working knowledge of Financial Edge and Raisers Edge preferred.

Phillips Nursing and Allied Health Building, program expansion, and the development of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Program.  Private and public support has made this possible.  BC3 offers unique programs such as Measurement Science/Metrology, Massage Therapy, Robotics, Electronics, Nanofabrication Technology, and Park and Recreation Management.  BC3 offers over 100 courses in online and distance education.  In addition to degree programs, BC3 has a public safety training facility at its main campus that serves 15,000 students annually for business training, industrial safety training, and public safety – fire, EMS, Hazmat, and police training.
