Required Qualifications: This position requires an Associates Degree and two (2) years of related work experience.
Key Responsibilities: This is not a comprehensive list of responsibilities.
- Provides administrative support for supervisor, including coordinating office operations and assisting with budget preparation and monitoring. Keeps appointment calendars and schedules appointments; makes reservations and travel arrangements; receives and screens calls, providing advanced information, or referring callers to appropriate staff. Processes and distributes incoming departmental mail.
- Creates and completes departmental and college forms; types correspondence, reports, memos, contracts, schedules, manuals, documents requisitions, and related paperwork. Completes and submits purchase requisitions for supplies and materials; assists with accountability of purchases.
- Compiles information and data for periodic and special reports; performs research and retrieval of records; conducts statistical comparisons of information; sets up and maintains record system for area of responsibility. Gathers and submits appropriate information for payroll in a timely manner.
- Attend departmental, staff and other professional meetings as requested, to exchange information or take minutes. Serve as departmental liaison as directed by supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Possess strong computer skills and have knowledge of software programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as PeopleSoft is a plus.
- Communicate well both verbally and in writing.
- Skilled in customer service, scheduling, record keeping and communication.
- Be creative and have the ability to work independently on many projects.
- Possess the ability to multi-task, utilize time management and be well organized.
