Job Description

Position 

TECHNICAL THEATRE INSTRUCTOR
9 Month Contract Full-time Position (renewable contract position)

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Technical Theatre Instructor will teach 3-6 credit hours of classes each
semester and be responsible for the scenic, lights, and sound designs for
theatre productions during the academic year. They will also act as the
Technical Director, creating plans and facilitating the implementation of all
technical elements for each production, and maintaining the theatre spaces.
The onsite teaching assignment will include both on-ground and online
classes within the theatre department. The position is responsible for student
recruitment, advising, academic program development and division
participation, committee and task force service, and individual professional
development.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Masters degree in or with 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline and/or
valid/current arts-recognized credential in the discipline and/or tested
experience (recognized accomplishment, professional experience, etc.) in the
discipline.

 

LOCATION:

Iola Campus office location. On-campus hours are required of the position

 

SALARY

MS/MA $44,437-$57,170; EdD/PhD $48,271-$61,119; based on education and
experience. An excellent benefits package is available.

 

STARTING DATE:

Position is open until filled.
